The castle is perched on top of the rock, and to reach it you'll have to climb A LOT OF STEPS. But don't worry - it's worth it! Wheelchair access is available. Once you get there, you can wander around and admire the various viewing points from where you can take in stunning panoramas of the island.

04

Take a dip in the Sorgeto Bay (Baia di Sorgeto)

Baia di Sorgeto is one of the most popular hot springs in Ischia, and it's easy to see why. The island's underground volcanic activity naturally heats a series of rock pools, creating a natural jacuzzi.

This natural cove with turquoise waters is absolutely stunning, and the views are simply breathtaking. And it’s FREE.

However, due to its wild nature full of rocks and pebbles, the bay may not be suitable for children and can be difficult to walk on. Walking 200+ steps in the heat can also be a challenge. If you decide to give it a try, drop by in the late afternoon and opt for the water taxi from Sorgeto, €5 per person. Also, don't forget to bring beach shoes or sandals, as the rocks can get hot and slippery.

Whether you're looking to relax or hoping to improve your health, a dip in the Sorgeto Bay is a must-do while in Ischia.

There are also a few restaurants and cafes located nearby, so you can grab a bite to eat after your swim.

05

Visit the thermal springs Poseidon Gardens

The Poseidon Gardens Park in Ischia is the largest thermal baths of the island. The park features a wellness center, a private and secluded beach, many different swimming pools and springs, each with its own unique benefits: over twenty thermal pools with temperatures ranging from 28° C to 40° C, three sea water pools, a steam grotto, and more. The stunning views of the surrounding landscape won’t disappoint either. Soaking in the hot springs is said to be good for your health, as the mineral-rich water is said to have healing benefits and has been used for centuries to treat a variety of disorders.

Spending a day at the Poseidon Gardens is a great way to relax and rejuvenate. So if you're looking for a unique and therapeutic experience, be sure to add this to your list of best things to do in Ischia.
