Iseo town is one of the most popular and accessible family destinations on Lake Iseo, located approximately 26 km from Brescia, 45 km from Bergamo, and about 85 km from Milan.

 

Its lakefront promenade is perfect for stroller walks, and the main square often hosts local markets and events. You’ll find plenty of kid-friendly restaurants, gelaterias, and a lovely playground next to Il Chiosco – La Spiaggetta, perfect for a family break by the lake. Iseo also offers easy access to some of the most family-friendly swimming spots around Lake Iseo.

Families can enjoy a day at the Piscine di Lovere, a modern lakeside pool complex with indoor and outdoor options — perfect if the weather changes. There’s also a large playground and walking trails.

TIP for families: One of the highlights of the year is the Lovere Festival of Lights (Lovere, Il Borgo della Luce). The town's historic buildings become a canvas for dazzling light projections that transform the evening into a magical experience—perfect for kids and adults alike. As for the 2025 summer edition, specific dates have not been announced yet. However, based on previous years, the summer festival typically takes place between late June and early September. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, it's recommended to check the official Lovere events website or the Visit Lake Iseo portal closer to your planned visit.

In celebration of the patron saints Bartolomea Capitanio and Vincenza Gerosa, Lovere’s Piazza Tredici Martiri will be brought to life with a stunning light show designed by artist Giulia Neri.

The show will illuminate the square every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from May 2, 2025 to June 2, 2025 starting at 9:00 PM each evening.

​Pisogne is one of those charming towns we instantly fell in love with and are always happy to return to. Nestled on the northern tip of Lake Iseo, it has a spacious lakefront promenade filled with lovely art installations and a friendly playground where kids can play freely. What we especially love is that Pisogne is the perfect starting point for one of Italy’s most scenic and kid-safe bike routes — the traffic-free Vello–Pisogne path. It’s an easy, relaxing ride along the lake that the whole family can enjoy together. Plus, don’t miss the chance to take a beautiful walk up to the White Horse statue, a stunning sculpture that overlooks the lake — it’s a local favorite and a special spot to explore.

Peschiera Maraglio is the charming main village of Monte Isola, known for its quaint harbor, colorful houses, and welcoming atmosphere that’s perfect for families exploring the island. Here you can rent bikes, take a hike to the Sanctuary of Madonna della Ceriola, or stop for lunch at a lakefront trattoria. With no traffic and plenty of space to roam, kids can safely enjoy the outdoors.
